She has degrees in engineering, math, and art, and a Master Spinner certificate from Olds College, Alberta. Angela worked in the tech industry as a programmer, network engineer, and trainer, and is now the Project Editor for Long Thread Media.

T-Claw is a professional dance caller and musician with 20 years of organizing experience. He’s a passionate community-driven instigator for traditional music and dance, frequently employing unorthodox methods for maximum engagement. Growing up in Nashville, TN, he played mostly punk and jazz, all the while fighting for human rights, social justice, and better biscuits.

Martha Owen is an artisan/shepherd and resident artist at the John C Campbell Folkschool (www.folkschool.org) in Brasstown, NC. She oversees classes in spinning/knitting,crochet/feltmaking /surface design and dyeing. Her adventure in spinning began here in 1978.

Music has been a constant thread throughout my life. Growing up in a musical family, I was immersed in sound, rhythm, and creativity from an early age. Surrounded by musicians, I developed a deep appreciation for performance and composition that shaped my identity as an artist.

Jan was born and educated in the Netherlands and came to the US in his mid twenties. He always wanted to be a cabinet maker, started and operated his cabinet shop in 1985, sold it in 2007, and traveled for 5 years throughout the US to certify shops for the Architectural Woodworking Institute Quality certification Program.

Hello! I'm Leeman Smith, a dedicated textile artist and illustrator based in Raleigh. My journey with textile arts began as a personal exploration, and now I’m excited to share my passion through teaching. In my Small Tapestry Weaving Workshop, I guide students step-by-step through the basics of weaving, using simple, everyday materials like cardboard looms and household tools.

Pamela Jenkins grew up in the middle of the woods, and spent her childhood wandering amongst trees, along stream banks, and through meadows, listening closely to her grandparents’ and father’s shared knowledge of the plants which surrounded them.

When Ann Weaver is not traveling to teach or exploring thrift stores and estate sales, you will find her in West Baltimore, where she works as a freelance editor and writer and runs Plied Yarns. Knitting, mending, dyeing, sewing, and piecing—she uses all her skills to inspire her students in her laid-back, individualized workshops.

Teri Lucas is a quilter, teacher, blogger and author residing in Central Texas. Color, Thread & Free-Motion Quilting, published by C&T Publishing in July 2020,covers thread weight, thread and needle pairing, beginner color relationships, and what Teri calls the "theory of color relativity."

Teri has been a professional artist since 1998, and has won numerous local and regional awards for her paintings. She is represented by galleries throughout the States and the Virgin Islands. She opened her own River's Rim Studio and Gallery in downtown Brasstown, North Carolina, after relocating to the mountains in 2012.
