Announcing Our 2024 Teachers of the Year

2024 has been an exciting year for Lessonface. We grew to include over 3,000 teachers across 200+ subject areas, delivering expert instruction to students worldwide. We’re continually inspired by the expertise and dedication of our community. We’re deeply grateful to all our teachers for their hard work, passion, and commitment to excellence.
We’re proud to announce Leopoldo Delorenzi as our overall Teacher of the Year for 2024. Delorenzi, who teaches flamenco guitar, classical guitar, and flamenco compás, taught over 1,400 lessons this year. His teaching methodology consistently earns exceptional reviews, with students highlighting his patience and ability to balance technical mastery with personalized instruction.
Recent student testimonials praise his approach: “As a teacher, [Leopoldo] excels at tailoring each lesson to my skill level - providing me with material that is challenging without being overwhelming. His emphasis on mastering the technique has been key to helping me grow as a guitarist…As a person, he’s always very professional, friendly, patient and eager to answer any questions. You can tell that he is very passionate about his art and he teaches with the desire to inspire his students. It is rare to find an accomplished artist who is also a great teacher. In Leo, you will find both!”
Another student notes, “[Leopoldo] has a stunning vocation to teach, and a proven method, which is so important, it’s one thing to play the guitar and another to be able to instruct somebody on how to play it… What used to look impossible to me is now something I understand and have a method to achieve.”
In recognition of his excellence, Focusrite will award Delorenzi a professional gear package including a Novation Launchkey keyboard, Focusrite Scarlett interface, and ADAM Audio monitors.
We also recognize 90 outstanding teachers across our most popular categories, with generous support from our sponsors: Kyser Capos (Guitar, Mandolin, Electric Guitar and Acoustic Guitar), BandLab (Pop Arranging), and Jupiter (Trumpet).
Congratulations to all our Teachers of the Year! And to every teacher on Lessonface—thank you for sharing your expertise, dedication, and passion with your students. Here’s to a fantastic 2025 ahead!
