Hi, my name is Polina Pohozha. I’m a pianist, composer, and teacher based in Gothenburg. Music has always been a natural part of my life — a way to express feelings, to connect, to explore. I can hardly imagine myself without it, and it’s this sense of discovery and connection that I hope to share with every student I meet.

I teach what is usually called "eastern piano", or "oriental piano". That is, techniques and repertoires coming from Eastern Europe, the Balkans, the Middle East and North Africa. I have lived, studied and worked as a musician and musicologist in the United Kingdom, Italy, Switzerland, Greece, and Bulgaria.

I am a classically trained pianist with over 12 years of performance experience and 6+ years of teaching piano and early childhood music to students aged 3–25. Currently pursuing my Bachelor of Music in Classical Piano at Manhattan School of Music (expected 2028, studying with Prof.
