Lessonface Recital Week - August 1-5

How do we learn to sing or play an instrument, whether the goal is to enjoy a new hobby or to become a professional musician? We take regular lessons with a good teacher, and we practice regularly. How do we learn to perform? We practice performing!
Performing regularly for an audience can be enjoyable and beneficial, whether our goal is to share with friends and family a new song or piece we’ve learned, to mark a milestone in our progress, or to test out our performance for an upcoming band or orchestra audition, concert, or competition.
Lessonface presents recitals and open mics for students, and is now introducing Recital Week, a series of recitals for specific instrument groups - Strings, Winds & Brass, Piano, Guitar, Voice, and All Instruments.
The Summer Recital Week, will take place August 1-5.
Setting performance goals is a great way for everyone from beginners to advanced professional-level musicians to enhance their motivation. The experience of performing allows us to share our musical expression with an audience, while providing a sense of accomplishment for the student musician.
Playing an instrument or singing are skills that we develop in lessons with our teacher and in our daily practice at home. Performing is itself a skill which benefits from practice. Regular performance opportunities in a supportive environment allow students to learn and develop the skill of performing.
Participation in Lessonface Recitals, Open Mics, and Recital Week, events provide teachers and students an added sense of purpose and incentive to continue their progress and set new goals.
All Lessonface Recitals are free of charge for participants and viewers.
Head over to the Recital Week page, and sign up to perform!
