Ben Shanblatt is a guitarist, composer, and educator based in NYC. He has served as a sideman, session musician, touring guitarist, and bandleader in virtually all styles of contemporary music. Some venues Ben has played include Smalls Jazz Club, The Knitting Factory, The Cutting Room, and Nublu among many others.

Merlyn Kelly is a professional bassist from Los Angeles, now based in Tokyo, with extensive international touring and recording experience. Skilled in electric, upright, and synth bass, he has performed in over 30 countries across genres including pop, rock, hip-hop, jazz, and more.

Cord J. L. Breuer M.M. Ed. is a distinguished music educator and band director with a rich background in music. Timothy A. Helisek is the first place winner of the 2004 edition of the Normandale Composer’s Competition for his classical chamber piece 'Beauty in Sadness.' 'Dancing Towards the Sun,' also a chamber piece, won first place in the same competition in 2005, as well as second place in the Minnesota Music Educators Association Composition Contest the same year.

Every student is a challenge for me. If it's a good student who has the desire and time to practice along with talent, it challenges me to switch on all the power of his nature and make him shine the shortest way possible. If a student doesn't have time to practice I always work on new exercises that could make a difference right away during a lesson.

I am a dedicated musician with a strong passion for guitar performance and music composition. Since beginning my musical journey in 2013, I have focused on flamenco and pop styles, while also exploring jazz and rock. With an academic background in music and hands-on experience in teaching, live performance, and music production, I strive to grow both as an educator and an artist.

I am offering lessons on piano, bass, guitar, and ukulele for all ages and skill levels. I graduated from the University of Virginia in 2019 with a B.A. in Music, where I performed with jazz small groups and the Black Voices Gospel Choir.

After graduating from Berklee in 1987 with a degree in Music Production & Engineering, I moved to NYC to help start the Sam Ash Music Institute. A year later, I moved to LA and began a 30+year career as a film and tv music composer, editor (Motion Picture Editors Guild), and audio engineer.
