I’m Xale Slusser, a Los Angeles–based bassoonist and oboist with degrees in performance, composition, and ethnomusicology from Ohio Northern University, the California Institute of the Arts, and UCLA. I teach Bassoon and Oboe (all levels) as well as Saxophones (SATB) and Clarinets (Sopranino–Contra Alto).

I am a dedicated teacher passionate about music and the success of learners of all ages and levels. I am a very patient teacher. If I am your music teacher, learning will be fun! It is important that my students enjoy music and their instruments. I will lead you step by step along the way and will make sure that you have mastered each lesson before we move to the next level.

Holding a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Bassoon Performance, I am a dynamic and energetic Bassoon & Piano teaching artist, appearing as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestra musician, and educator. I am classically trained and started my music journey with the piano and flute at the age of 5. I started playing bassoon when I was 11 years old.

Francesco Quarata (b. 2000, Salerno) is an Italian bassoonist who earned his Master’s degree and Postgraduate diploma at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg under Maestro Marco Postinghel. He previously studied at the Conservatorio “G. Martucci” in Salerno and at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome with Maestro Francesco Bossone.

I started in the UK and worked with most of UK's major Symphony, Chamber and Opera orchestras including the BBC Symphony Orchestra (with frequent performances at the world famous Promenade Concerts in the Royal Albert Hall ) the BBC Philharmonic, BBC Scottish, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Academy of St.

Nicole DeMaio is a composer, performer, and educator who was born in Bogota, Colombia and is currently living in the NYC area. As a woodwind doubler, Nicole performs on flutes, clarinets, saxophones, and bassoon. She has recently worked as a substitute musician on Broadway’s “"Some Like It Hot", "Aladdin”, “1776”, “Kimberly Akimbo”, “A Strange Loop”, and “Beetlejuice”.

Mr. Prentice Scott is an accomplished music educator and performer with over 15 years of experience guiding students to excellence in music. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from Clark Atlanta University and a Master’s in Music Education from the University of Georgia. With a foundation rooted in both performance and pedagogy, Mr.

Bassoonist Nicholas Akdag has performed throughout North America, Europe and Asia, and regularly performs throughout Southern California with groups like the The Los Angeles Philharmonic, Kaleidoscope Chamber Orchestra, Redlands Symphony, and others.Nick studied at the State Conservatory of Music Berlin "Hanns Eisler" (Berlin, Germany) with Prof. Volker Tessmann.
