I’m a classically trained cellist, pianist, and music educator with over 15 years of experience teaching cello, piano, and music theory. I’ve worked with students of all ages — from children to seniors — across different countries and cultures.

Yi-Chien is currently serving as the principal cellist of The Denver Philharmonic and The Symphony of the Rockies. She is a dedicated music instructor with a Master’s degree in Cello Performance from UT Austin, passionate about sharing her love for music with aspiring learners.

I am a professional musician and teacher with over 10 years of experience teaching the cello. I am classically trained and started my musical journey with the piano and cello at 5. Between grades 3 and 12, I studied in a music-gifted program.

In addition to my work as a soloist and chamber musician, I have taught cello continuously since 1986. Christopher was raised in a family of musicians. His mother was a concert pianist and music professor to whom he devoted countless hours of duet rehearsing. His foundations began at a summer program in Westport/Elizabethtown, NY and continued at the JHU Institute of Music where he received a graduate degree in cello.
