Learn from Great Classical Guitar Teachers

Hello! My name is Alanis Cartagena. I graduated from Loyola University New Orleans with a Bachelor's in Music with flute as my main instrument, and a minor in Psychological Studies in Spring 2025. I have been playing the flute since I was 7 years old, and have played in different stages around Puerto Rico, New Orleans, New York, Chicago, and Texas.

Ian began playing guitar around the age of ten when he got his first hand-me-down guitar from his older brother. At first he learned to play primarily by ear, learning songs from recordings that he loved, a skill that has proven invaluable to this day.

I felt in love with music when I was 12 and, by then, I have never left it. After 5 years of individual guitar lessons (both classical, acoustic and electric guitar) I decided to follow academic studies in Rome, at the prestigious Saint Louis College of Music.

I have been teaching lessons full time for a living since 1987. Over that time span, I have learned so so much in my lessons. My basic vibe is, I am learning new things constantly, for example, I learned Paul Gilbert's Fuzz Universe and taught it to one of my students. No easy task for any player! I spent 12 years as a serious Spanish Classical player.

Colorado classical guitarist Chris Delisa enjoys a multifaceted musical career as a performer, arranger, composer, and blogger. Chris began his journey with the guitar in 2004, originally influenced by a variety of legendary classic rock bands including Black Sabbath and Deep Purple. By high school, he broadened his musical horizons and began studying jazz guitar.

I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor Diploma in Performance. There I focused on Jazz Performance but I had the opportunity to study many other styles including Flamenco, Blues, R & B/Neo-Soul and more. Teachers Include: Tim Miller / Mick Goodrick / Danilo Perez / George Garzone / Larry Baione I have 8 years of teaching experience and I find it to be fulfilling.
