Hello, I'm Igor (25 years old), a professional musician and music teacher. I have been studying music since I was 10 years old. During my teenage years, I spent time listening to, researching, and studying music, and I also played in bands in Brazil. Having the guidance of teachers was crucial in my development as a musician.

My name is Jacob! I play a variety of instruments (mostly those with strings) in a variety of genres, though these days my main focus these is traditional dance music, with a particular emphasis on Irish and Quebecois styles. I regularly play music on fiddle, mandolin and guitar for contra dances and English country dances across Quebec and Ontario.

Shortly after graduating from the Guitar Institute of Technology (GIT) at Musicians Institute in 1991, I was able to make a living as a musician, giving guitar lessons during the day, and playing gigs with various bands at night. After a few years of this, I got a little tired of the gigs, but I never got tired of the teaching.

Ryan Schindler is the Los Angeles Regional Director of the California Bluegrass Association and has helped many students though his weekly bluegrass jam, private lessons, and in writing books to help students progress quickly (i.e. The Golden Standard or Bluegrass Guitar - How to play Fast NOW). Ryan grew up in upstate New York playing in rock and jazz bands.

I am a recent graduate of the University of Toronto's Jazz Performance program with a diverse set of experiences pertaining to music education.
