I'm a professional guitarist, composer, and educator based in Denver, Colorado, with over a decade of experience performing and teaching across a wide range of styles. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Studies from the University of Pittsburgh, where I studied under seminal jazz guitarist Joe Negri and improvisation with renowned pianist Geri Allen.

"Zach Simms, 'Simba' as he is called by most close friends, is based in the DMV and Eastern Shore of MD, where he grew up captivated by all things musical. While his prime instrument is Guitar, he performs and instructs on Mandolin, Electric Bass, Ukulele, and on the odd occasion, Banjo.

For over 33 years as a musician and 29 years as an educator for all grade levels and teachers alike, I have the experience of learning from my previous students and applying more efficient techniques to current and future ones. Much like my students, I work towards learning the most innovative techniques while foreseeing the trends of the future in music and education.

Bio: I am a 29-year-old graduate of Jazz Performance studies at the prestigious Capilano University and an experienced music educator who has afforded himself lessons from the very best in the world. I have first-hand knowledge from music legends like Frank Vignola, Gene Bertoncini, Chris Eldridge, and locally to Vancouver, Bill Coon, and Ron Samworth among others.

Roberto is a multi-talented music educator, performer, composer, producer, and technology expert with over 25 years of international experience in the music industry. He holds a Master’s degree in Music Technology from Florida International University and Bachelor’s degree in both Classical Guitar Performance and Music Education from Argentina.

From as early as I can remember, I was aware of the magic and power of sound. Harmony, melody, and rhythm were constant companions growing up — whether I was syncing footsteps to imaginary beats on the sidewalk or singing harmonies to ’70s radio hits from the back seat of my parents’ AMC Gremlin, music was always there. I come from a long line of musicians.
