I have been teaching piano, strings, and band instruments (flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, and drums) for more than 30 years in the public schools as well as privately. I have instructed large groups and ensembles, as well as smaller musical groups in and out of the public schools.

My Name is Alex and I'm an alumni of New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA where I studied jazz trumpet under multiple well known jazz musicians such as Donny McCaslin, Dave Holland, Miguel Zenon, and Ralph Alessi. I have been fortunate to study with some of the best drummers around, including Jeff Ballard, Kendrick Scott, Dave Dicenso, John Ramsay, John Yarling, and more. I have also performed in several countries with my band and other projects. Countries include the US, Switzerland, England, France, Italy, India, and also Puerto Rico (part of the US, but still).

I am not currently accepting new students at this time. If you wish to schedule a lesson with me, please communicate this with me and we can make sure to find a time that fits out schedules. I have been playing music for 20 years over a variety of instruments including piano, bass guitar, acoustic and electric guitar, vocals, kit, trumpet, flute, and many more.

About Me I am a composer and music educator with extensive experience teaching at all academic levels. I hold an M.Mus. in Composition from Northwestern University (2001), an Artist Diploma in Composition from the Jerusalem Rubin Academy of Music & Dance (1999), and a B.Mus.

John Marvin Scott is a multi-instrumentalist, improviser, musician, and educator. Obtaining his Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Performance/Composition from Capilano University in North Vancouver in 2022, John has established himself as one of Western Canada’s essential musicians and music educators.

Oboist Nicholas Tisherman joined the Colorado Symphony as Second/Assistant Principal Oboe in September 2017. In addition to his appointment in Denver he has appeared as a guest with orchestras across the country, notably the Philadelphia Orchestra, Sarasota Orchestra, and Los Angeles Philharmonic.

Adrienne Schoenfeld is a teaching artist, composer, and bassist based in New York City. She has been teaching piano for five years, working with over 70 students to cultivate their love of music. She has a classical and improvisational background, with a Masters degree in Concert Composition from NYU Steinhardt and a Bachelors in Music from Berklee College of Music.
