I like to work within the Jazz and Brazilian music styles. Besides developing reading skills, improvisation theory and creativity, I stimulate students to learn by heart the repertoire. Every week we study a new tune, memorize it, improvise on it and analyze its melody an harmony.

Hello! My name is Juan Carlos Narvaez, I am an American flutist studying abroad in Madrid, Spain for my master's degree in Music Performance. I graduated from West Virginia University in 2022 with a degree in Music Performance specializing in the flute. I have studied, played and taught music ranging from the Renaissance period to Contemporary Music.

Emily Claman is a professional flutist residing in Houston, TX. She has played the flute for nearly 15 years, receiving her Bachelor's of Music in Flute Performance from DePaul University and a Masters of Music in Flute Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music.

Dr. Christine Tavolacci is a Los Angeles based flutist and educator specializing in contemporary and experimental music, yet equally well versed and passionate about traditional repertoire. She has traveled across the United States and Europe to study and perform and has had the pleasure of working in close contact with many celebrated 20th and 21st century composers.

Lauren offers flute, piccolo and theory lessons to all ages of students. Lauren has studied flute at the Mount Royal Conservatory and the University of Victoria. She will be continuing her studies at the Conservatorio di Musica Benedetto Marcello di Venezia in the late fall.

Gita is a professional flutist and teacher, originally from the Canary Islands, Spain. She graduated from her bachelor’s and master’s degree at Conservatorium van Amsterdam with professors Kersten McCall, Vincent Cortvrint and Mariya Semotyuk.

I am a woodwind specialist. My main instrument is flute/piccolo. Then I learned saxophone so I could play in jazz bands. Then I learned clarinet because it just seemed fun. I learned these instruments (and more) while getting my bachelor degree in Music Education at Kent State University 1996-2000.

I am a private instructor of flute and piccolo with over 30 years of teaching experience. I teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced school-aged students as well as adult amateurs. I am an active performer on flute and piccolo as a soloist and in numerous secular and Christian church ensembles.

I am a professional music teacher with over 15 years of experience in teaching flute, piano, music theory, and music history. Holding a master’s degree in music, I am passionate about helping students of all ages and abilities—whether they’re learning just for fun or preparing for graded exams.
