A DC area native, LeeLee Hunter was initially introduced to music, though somewhat reluctantly, through her enrollment in the church choir at the age of four; however, she grew to love it very quickly. Dr. Hunter first experienced the guitar while living in Hong Kong when her third-grade teacher would play for them everyday at the end of school.

Bio: I am a 29-year-old graduate of Jazz Performance studies at the prestigious Capilano University and an experienced music educator who has afforded himself lessons from the very best in the world. I have first-hand knowledge from music legends like Frank Vignola, Gene Bertoncini, Chris Eldridge, and locally to Vancouver, Bill Coon, and Ron Samworth among others.

Matt Macaulay is a professional Guitarist and Singer-Songwriter. He has been teaching music to students of all ages, privately and in groups, since 1997. After graduating from William Paterson University with a Bachelors Degree in Jazz Performance , Matt spent 10 years in New York City working as a freelance musician and operating the Macaulay Guitar Studio.

From as early as I can remember, I was aware of the magic and power of sound. Harmony, melody, and rhythm were constant companions growing up — whether I was syncing footsteps to imaginary beats on the sidewalk or singing harmonies to ’70s radio hits from the back seat of my parents’ AMC Gremlin, music was always there. I come from a long line of musicians.

Classic rock bands such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and the Beatles, as well as blues guitarists Stevie Ray Vaughn and Eric Clapton, are my early musical influences. My love for music really bloomed when I started writing songs, and performing in bands in High School and College.
