I am a professional violist living in The Hague, the Netherlands. I studied at the CRR in Boulogne-Billancourt, Trinity College London, the Conservatory of The Hague and the Dutch String Quartet Academy in the Netherlands. I have devoted a large part of my life to playing the string quartet.

I have been playing since I was 4 and started out in Suzuki which I followed through age 10. Branching out I started concertizing and studied in in England under Monica Langham. I went on to study with Professor Stephen Hyde and graduated from West Virginia University, Cum Laude with a Bachelor's of Music in Applied Violin.

I love helping others learn. In my private studio setting, I have taught music to children K-12 and adults for three decades, everyone ages 4 to 84, literally. I have performed with countless classical ensembles over a 50-year time frame. For the last 40 I have played with jazz, contemporary, and folk ensembles as well.

I am excited to begin teaching online bass students. I have performance experience as a Carnival Cruise Lines musician. Teaching is also something that excites me. I am a professional cellist, teacher and coach based in Vienna. As a performer, I regularly appear at major venues such as the Wiener Konzerthaus and Wiener Musikverein, have performed at international festivals alongside acclaimed artists such as Yo-Yo Ma and with my long-standing ensembles and orchestras, including the Oberton String Octet and the Tonkünstler Orchestra.

Originally from Fort Lauderdale Florida, Zico Chevy Hernandez hails from a long line of artists and musicians. His Father, a percussionist from Cuba, used to play percussive beats on his mother’s womb, inciting Zico to tap back. Throughout Zico’s life, Zico has studied a collection of musical instruments and genres, with a primary focus on percussion and guitar.
