Alyssa Meyer began playing violin at the age of 6. She switched to viola as a primary instrument at the age of 10. Alyssa is a graduate of Baylor University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education with an emphasis in viola. She has been teaching private violin and viola lessons since 2005 and also taught with the Baylor University Strings Project from 2007-2009.

From as early as I can remember, I was aware of the magic and power of sound. Harmony, melody, and rhythm were constant companions growing up — whether I was syncing footsteps to imaginary beats on the sidewalk or singing harmonies to ’70s radio hits from the back seat of my parents’ AMC Gremlin, music was always there. I come from a long line of musicians.

Originally from Perth, Australia, Marshall began learning piano at the age of 7 and the violin at 8. He quickly took to the violin and was offered a specialist music scholarship to Churchlands Senior High School. By the end of his time at Churchlands, Marshall was awarded several prizes including top instrumental student & music dux and gained his Associate Diploma from the AMEB.

My Background I've been playing with classical ensembles and rock bands since 2001. Even though I started on classical trombone and rock guitar, I have come to expand my repertoire to a variety of instruments and genres. During my time in college I performed with the University choir, orchestra, and band.

A musical trailblazer with an insatiable passion for teaching and learning, Benjamin Wu has taught internationally in the United States and Afghanistan and has performed in music festivals and recital halls around the world including in the United States, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Taiwan, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, and in Australia at the world renown Sydney Opera House.

Welcome to my corner of Lessonface! I'm K.C., and I'm thrilled to share my passion for music with you. With a Bachelor's degree from Berklee College of Music, where I immersed myself in the rich tapestry of American Roots Music, I've developed a deep appreciation for various genres including jazz, blues, folk, rock, indie, Americana, bluegrass, and rock and roll.

As the 2020 Lessonface.com Teacher of the Year, I enjoy teaching students of all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds. I love helping others learn. In my private studio setting, I have taught music to children K-12 and adults for three decades, everyone ages 4 to 84, literally. I have performed with countless classical ensembles over a 50-year time frame. For the last 40 I have played with jazz, contemporary, and folk ensembles as well.

Violinist Sarah Vonsattel has been a member of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra since 2008. She previously held positions in the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and the Colorado Symphony. Sarah has appeared as soloist with the musicians of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the Syracuse Symphony, Coastal Symphony of Georgia, and the Cleveland Institute of Music Orchestra, among others.
