Hi! My name is Laura Ellison. I am a professional violinist with 20+ years of experience teaching students of all ages and levels. I have a Bachelor Degree and a Master Degree in Violin Performance from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC where I studied with Robert Gerle.

My musical journey with my violin started at the age of four and I have been practicing it for more than twenty years. After six years in the student orchestra during my high school, I entered Tsinghua University as a music specialized student and played as the principle second violin in Tsinghua University Symphony Orchestra (TUSO) for four years.

I am a Cambridge university educated tutor, and I have been teaching music privately in the UK for around 20 years, with students of all ages and abilities. I am currently based in SW England, and teach banjo (clawhammer), guitar and bass guitar, and have played all of those instruments at a professional level, in the studio and live.

Harpist Sophie Kim is currently pursuing her Specialist of Music at the University of Michigan with Yolanda Kondanassis. I’m a qualified musician and music teacher, offering online lessons in guitar, bass, and music theory, with over 20 years of playing experience. I studied my undergraduate BA in Popular Music and Recording at Salford University graduating in 2021 with a 2:1 with honours. I then went on to get a Post Graduate Certificate of Education in music from Manchester Metropolitan University.

Matthew Madonia, Houston based, rising virtuoso, is a sought-after orchestral violinist, chamber musician, and recitalist. He is known for his “inspiring” and “partnership-oriented” style built on an “intense and emotional” fidelity to musicality and accessibility.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Rhode Island in 2024 with a Bachelor's in Music Education. I earned a K-12 Music Teaching Certification in Rhode Island in May of 2024. My primary instrument is violin and I performed with the University of Rhode Island Symphony Orchestra from 2021-2024 as well as with several chamber ensembles.
