Play by Ear Session 5 – Music From Around the World
About Play by Ear Session 5 – Music From Around the World
This is a course that offers some regional flavor of tunes. We will learn some great tunes from Kentucky fiddle players and start to look at other American roots music such as dance tunes from Scotland and Ireland. This session will guide you into finding your own niche and passion in your own community and how to contribute your new skills. This class will help you further develop your listening skills to songs and tunes that extend beyond our American folk music to other genres and cultures. All songs are carefully chosen for being dulcimer friendly and fun to play/sing. Audio, visual, PDF and moral support from your teacher and classmates all on cue as you move to this final stage of your journey. Treat yourself during this course and celebrate all you have learned!

Lorinda Jones
I have been a music educator for more than four decades, teaching all levels from cradle to “almost grave!” My primary teaching on Lessonface is the mountain dulcimer and lever (Celtic style) harp. Since I participate in traditional music playing on both instruments I like to teach by ear but can provide music since I am a classical musician by trade.
