Handcards, Not Just for Rolags with Maggie Casey

About Handcards, Not Just for Rolags with Maggie Casey

The old song says “diamonds are a girl’s best friend”. Maggie Casey’s version would be hand cards are a spinner’s best friend. Besides making rolags for woolen yarns there are many other ways of using hand cards and we will play with several and see the yarns they create. It all depends on the fibers you use, how you dress the cards and the way you spin the yarn.
Hand cards belong in every spinner’s basket even those who only spin prepared fibers.
Students should be able to spin a continuous yarn and be comfortable with their wheel.

Please note that this class runs from 9:30am to 12:30pm.
