Reversible Texture with Cecelia Campochiaro
About Reversible Texture with Cecelia Campochiaro
This workshop is about textured stitch patterns where both sides look the same and is also an introduction to the book Reversible Knitting. The class will touch on a range of topics including one-row patterns, sequence knitting, how reversible patterns are created, and how to use charts for flat knitting or knitting in the round. As a bonus, we will also discuss some reversible selvedges that make nice finished edges.
In addition to an in depth look at knit-purl patterns, we will also cover reversible slip-stitch patterns, reversible lace, and reversible cables.
Materials, Equipment, and Supplies the Student Must Bring to Class
Basic knitting kit: scissors, removable stitch markers, cable needle, tapestry needle, small crochet hook, tape measure, pencil, post-its or removable tape for following charts. In addition, students should bring two or three balls of solid-color yarns and appropriate needles. The yarn can be any weight from fingering to bulky. The simpler the yarn the better—avoid variegated or textured yarns.
Materials Fee (to be paid directly to the instructor)
None. Instructor will provide handout at no cost to student.
