Great Fiber Arts Classes with Expert Teachers Online

Kimberly first learned to spin in 2009. Within a year she had her first bags of free wool and it has been her passion since then to educate others about this most wonderful fiber! She has taught about fleece, fiber prep and spinning at fiber festivals up and down the east coast, as well as for fiber Guilds.

Laurie "Trumpet" Williams is a distinguished mixed media artist, instructor, and community builder. With a deep passion for alcohol ink, gel printing, and mixed media collage, her work serves as a source of inspiration for many in the art community.

Bex grew up in her mother’s (Carol Leigh Brack-Kaiser) Hillcreek Fiber Studio. She started to learn weaving and dying at a young age and has traveled the country for over 40 years with the family business vending and teaching at fiber, weaving and knitting Shows.

Barbara's love for weaving started at an early age. Her Grandmother gave her her first loom, a piece of cardboard with slots at each end. She was hooked. Barbara is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a BA/ Art Education. She taught Elementary Art for 28 years.

Sarah Spillers is an interdisciplinary visual artist living in Johnson City, Tennessee, while she pursues her Master of Fine Arts degree at East Tennessee State University. Spillers’ artistic practice uses sculptural exploration, painting, and printmaking to examine American consumerism, marketing practices, and mass production.

My name is Arden, I have been crocheting for over 10 years! I sell my crochet and crochet patterns on my own Etsy shop at FireWolfArts.

Spinning and natural dyeing have been a long-standing fascination of mine. I started off dyeing with vegetable dyes found in my kitchen and have since expanded to a wide variety of natural dye sources, most of which I can find locally.

Beth has been knitting for over 20 years and is a Level 2 Certified Knitting Instructor. She teaches classes through the Apex recreation department where she loves helping new knitters get started and feel confident with the basics.

Julie Benac has been in the world of fiber arts since 2006, and has been in the cut & sew industry for over 30 years. Her creative focus today is marrying the art of fashion sewing with fiber arts to create a unique niche that appeals to everyone.
