Lessonface Year in Reviews 2025

At Lessonface, everything we build is guided by our mission of helping students move closer to their goals while ensuring teachers are treated with fairness and respect. One important and easily measured outcome in achieving those goals is student reviews, and 2025 has been a banner year: Private lessons, group classes, self-paced courses, and downloadable content received over 5,700 five-star reviews in 2025, averaging 4.995, our highest overall average per year yet. Now in our thirteenth year, Lessonface is a welcoming home for music, language, and arts education across the globe. This year brought steady growth and meaningful milestones for the platform.  We are wrapping up what's been our busiest year ever, in terms of lessons taught, active students, and active teachers. Thousands of new students and hundreds of teachers joined Lessonface in the year, adding fresh energy, ideas, and creativity to an already vibrant community.

We are continually grateful for the people who make Lessonface what it is. Teachers share their skill, experience, and generosity every day. Students bring curiosity, dedication, and courage to learn something new. Partners and friends offer feedback, collaboration, and support that help us keep improving.

Highlights from 2025

Student feedback continued to reflect the quality and care behind Lessonface learning. This year, we made it even easier for students to share their experiences. Reviews can now be submitted on mobile devices, and students are able to review not only private lessons but also group classes and self paced courses. These updates help ensure that teachers receive timely, meaningful feedback across all formats, and students considering the resources can see how others perceived their value.

Teachers also saw major improvements to scheduling. After hearing directly from teachers, we introduced a redesigned calendar and availability system with Google Calendar syncing. Teachers can choose to automatically add Lessonface lessons to their external calendars and sync external events back to Lessonface as Time Off. This reduces conflicts, saves time, and makes managing a full teaching schedule easier. Students can view all of their Lessonface activities in the calendar view, accessible from the green left hand menu.

The Lessonface catalog continued to expand, with teachers offering lessons across hundreds of topics.

Performance remained central to the Lessonface experience. Dozens of recitals, open mics, jams, and collaborative events gave more students than ever the chance to perform, connect, and grow through shared creative experiences.

What We Built Together in 2025

As teachers’ studios filled and demand increased, we continued refining tools that support scheduling and availability, helping teachers manage their time while giving students clear paths to enroll.

Advances in online audio and video made real time collaboration smoother and more reliable. These improvements allowed musicians and artists to connect more deeply, opening the door to richer group classes and ensemble style performances.

Self paced learning continued to expand in 2025, with more teachers creating courses that students can explore on their own schedule. This flexibility has made it easier for learners to revisit material, move at their own pace, and stay engaged between live lessons.

We also strengthened relationships with creative and educational partners throughout the year. These collaborations brought unique classes and programs to the Lessonface community and helped broaden access to high quality arts education.

Looking Forward

As we move toward 2026, we are excited about the connections yet to be made and the ideas still to come. Lessonface will continue investing in tools, programs, and partnerships that support teachers and inspire students.
