Meet 2025 Teacher of the Year for Blues Guitar Rod Ferreira

We asked 2025 Lessonface Teacher of the Year in Blues Guitar, Rod Ferreira, to share insights into his journey as a blues guitarist and educator. What drew you to learning Blues Guitar?
I love the blues - and I think a lot of students like to play/learn something they can be creative with.
How would you describe your teaching studio?
Pro looking studio 😃 - I make sure I have good lighting and no noise.
If you could gift your students one piece of automatic knowledge or ability about blues guitar, what would it be?
That everybody is able to play - improvise and be creative with the guitar.
What are some gear items that you wish all your students had?
Great headphones.
