I've read some really interesting threads on clarinet design/intonation recently.
Coincidentally, yesterday, my mother-in-law asked me why clarinets aren't just manufactured "in tune" and I wasn't happy with the off-the-cuff answer I gave her.
So this video is the product of a day's-long meditation on the topic by me, as well as the wisdom I've gleaned from great clarinettists during my "playing" career

Love this reminder to spend time with my instruments to double check the overall pitch of the entire scale. I have a lot of instruments not just clarinet, and while I take the time to quickly tune before a rehearsal or performance I don't spend nearly enough time in practice checking once in a while if things have shifted.
