I felt in love with music when I was 12 and, by then, I have never left it. After 5 years of individual guitar lessons (both classical, acoustic and electric guitar) I decided to follow academic studies in Rome, at the prestigious Saint Louis College of Music.

I began playing guitar in 1987 and have been teaching privately since 1993. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music in Guitar Performance from Tulane University in 1997, where I studied classical guitar with Elias Barriero and performed a full classical recital to complete my degree.

I believe that every individual learns music skills differently. As a teacher I seek to design lessons that provide each student with the opportunities to grow in a creative and enjoyable way. Providing a customized schedule for each student is essential for engaging and encouraging musical growth.

Hi, my name’s Chris and I have been playing guitar for 40 years and teaching since I was in high school. I majored in guitar in college and have taught guitar at the university and high school levels as well as privately to students from age 7 to 70. I teach everything from classical, blues, rock and jazz and customize my lessons to various levels and learning styles.
