I also spent the last year building tonebase trumpet, a world-class premium course library with some of the best trumpeters in the world, from whom I learned for the past year.

Gavin Ard is a freelance trumpet player, teacher, and composer/arranger based in the NYC area. A recent graduate of the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance (SMTD), and holds two Master of Music Degrees; one in trumpet performance and the other in jazz composition/arranging.

A graduate of The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, I’ve been playing guitar for 18 years and teaching for over a decade. Originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, I’ve performed and recorded with many acclaimed musicians both in my hometown and on the NYC jazz scene, including Ari Hoenig, Steve Cardenas, Sam Yahel, John Raymond, and others.
