I currently perform with The Orchestra of San Antonio (TOSA) as a bass trombone player and regularly substitute with the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra and other ensembles across the country.

I began my music teaching journey back in 2012 after attending the University of Colorado Denver. I was pursuing a music degree and at the time I believed touring would be my main source of income. After I had my first guitar student my life path suddenly changed and I realized my passion for teaching.

Philip Castro has been performing as a classical and jazz pianist for over 20 years. He began studying classical piano at the Classical Piano Academy with Iby Kovacs. He completed his B.M. in piano performance from Texas State University as well as a M.M. in piano pedagogy and a Graduate Certificate in jazz performance from the University of South Carolina.
