Nicole DeMaio is a composer, performer, and educator who was born in Bogota, Colombia and is currently living in the NYC area. As a woodwind doubler, Nicole performs on flutes, clarinets, saxophones, and bassoon. She has recently worked as a substitute musician on Broadway’s “"Some Like It Hot", "Aladdin”, “1776”, “Kimberly Akimbo”, “A Strange Loop”, and “Beetlejuice”.

I am an Illinois Certified Music Educator of 18 years in public school. I currently teach at Carbondale Middle School in Illinois. My expertise is with beginning instrumental music through high school. While my specialty is woodwinds, particularly saxophone, I am competent in playing and teaching all band instruments. BIO Aidan O’Connor is an emerging band leader, saxophonist, and composer. He is influenced by the likes of Lester Young, John Coltrane, and Sonny Stitt. Aidan plays in a personal style, while still invoking the mainstream jazz tradition. Aidan graduated from the Eastman School of Music in the Spring of 2019, where he earned a BM in Jazz and Contemporary Media.

I teach Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute and beginner accordion . I have been teaching music for almost 20 years and have taught most ages, levels and styles. Teaching is my passion and I put a lot of effort into each of my students to ensure that they learn in a way which stimulates them and encourages them to continue improving and learning.

I have been a private music teacher for over 10 years now, and have enjoyed it immensely! For 5 of those 10 years I worked at a music conservatory in New Jersey helping students to prepare for auditions, competitions, and exams. When COVID hit, I started teaching online and have realized that these lessons can be just as effective as in person!

My Background I've been playing with classical ensembles and rock bands since 2001. Even though I started on classical trombone and rock guitar, I have come to expand my repertoire to a variety of instruments and genres.
