My first instrument was euphonium/baritone horn, which I've played from 7th grade to my freshman year in college. My second instrument was trombone where I have played from 10th grade to my 5th and final year in college.

I hold a Master of Music in Commercial Music (Guitar Emphasis) from Belmont University and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education & Jazz Studies from SUNY Fredonia, where my primary emphasis instrument was trombone.

My Background I've been playing with classical ensembles and rock bands since 2001. Even though I started on classical trombone and rock guitar, I have come to expand my repertoire to a variety of instruments and genres. During my time in college I performed with the University choir, orchestra, and band.

I have been playing and teaching the trombone and euphonium professionally for over 20 years. I have experience teaching all levels of players and ages, from beginners to pros. Additionally I can help you with college auditions, orchestral auditions, or auditions for honor bands.

I am an energized and animate music professional passionate about enhancing students competence in music performance, compositional craftsmanship, theory and knowledge of music history. My education has afforded me the opportunity to develop and refine skills beneficial to teaching.

I'm an enthusiastic, passionate teacher who appreciates the uniqueness and originality of any interested student. I've been teaching private lessons and running clinics for fifteen years, teaching a multitude of genres. I make it a priority to cater lessons to the interests of each individual student. I work with students ages seven to adult.
