Hello! I am a freelance composer and teacher based in the Twin Cities. I started teaching violin over 14 years ago and since then, have expanded my studio to incorporate theory, composition, and beginning piano. I have a MFA in Theory and Composition from the University of New Mexico and a BA of Music from Bryn Mawr College.

I am an Argentine Violinist, improviser, and arranger, passionate about exploring the intersections of popular, classical, and contemporary music. With over two decades of experience, I bring a unique blend of performance, sound experimentation, and teaching expertise to my lessons.

Former long-tenured Associate Concertmaster of the Minnesota Orchestra, where I performed for many years collaborating with some of the world’s best musicians and conductors. I have been playing Celtic fiddle in the New England area for over 25 years, and have been teaching for over 20. My experience with teaching lies with primarily local students and workshops. I have attended a number of camps, contests, and workshops and have studied under several well-known Celtic musicians in and around Boston and Western Massachusetts.

I am a chamber musician and music teacher. Currently, I work as Assistant Director of Sycamore Strings Academy, teaching violin individual and ensemble lessons, conducting the youth chamber orchestra, and coaching the adult chamber ensemble. Recent public performances have included accompanying choir and soloists in Handel's Messiah and Saunder Choi's Verum Corpus.

Violinist/violist, composer, and visual artist Leah Asher is an avid performer of contemporary music and creator of new artistic works. Leah is a member of The Rhythm Method string quartet, the violin-piano duo Aether Eos, and co-creator of the series ‘Meaningless Work’ with Nicolee Kuester.

Udeshi Hargett is an award-winning, acclaimed violinist. She is a certified violin teacher with 19 years of teaching experience. She has been playing the violin for the past 31 years. She started her violin education in Sri Lanka at the young age of 6 years. She was appointed Concert Master of the National Youth Orchestra, and was a member of the Symphony Orchestra of Sri Lanka.

Beverly is a versatile musician and teacher who has performed and taught numerous styles of music, including classical, rock, pop, musical theater, jazz, country, and more. She is especially skilled at teaching violin and viola from beginner through advanced levels, and she also has years of experience teaching piano, voice, and beginning cello to students of all ages.
