Initially trained as a classical violinist, my current passions include Southern Old-Time, Irish, French-Canadian Fiddle music and Klezmer. In June 2011, I became the first teacher in Washington State to be certified in the Mark O'Connor Violin Method, a developmental curriculum of American folk music for students of all levels.

Abby Douglas began her intense studies in viola performance at Wheaton College Conservatory of Music, where she studied under the leadership of Professor Rose Armbrust Griffin. Sarah Arnold holds performance degrees from Rice University Shepherd School of Music and Yale University. She began studying the violin at the age of four, and gave her debut performance at the age of eight as soloist with the Akron Symphony. She has appeared as soloist with the Cleveland Pops Orchestra, the Toledo Symphony, and the Southeastern Ohio Symphony Orchestra.

A five-time national fiddle champion, Celeste Johnson has over a decade of teaching experience with folks of all ages and levels, including first-time players, adult learners, and experienced musicians. As a teacher, her mission is to pass on traditional fiddle styles and make them accessible to people of all ages and experience levels.

I believe that every individual learns music skills differently. As a teacher I seek to design lessons that provide each student with the opportunities to grow in a creative and enjoyable way. Providing a customized schedule for each student is essential for engaging and encouraging musical growth.
