Campfire Ukulele (No Campfire Required)

About Campfire Ukulele (No Campfire Required)

Campfire Ukulele (No Campfire Required) is a relaxed, welcoming ukulele class for adults and older beginners who want to make music for the joy of it — no pressure, no previous experience, and no actual campfire necessary. This class is designed for anyone who has always wanted to strum along to familiar songs, play for themselves or friends, and enjoy the simple pleasure of making music in a supportive, low-stress environment.

Throughout this class, you’ll learn the essential skills needed to play popular campfire-style songs: easy, practical chords; smooth chord transitions; and rhythmic strumming patterns you can use again and again. Each session focuses on real songs you recognize — folk favorites, pop classics, sing-along tunes, and feel-good music that works beautifully on the ukulele. You’ll also learn how to tune your instrument, keep steady rhythm, and play with confidence whether you’re singing along or just enjoying the groove.

By the end of the class, you’ll be able to pick up your ukulele and comfortably play through multiple songs from start to finish. More importantly, you’ll leave with the confidence to make music anywhere — living rooms, gatherings, porches, or yes… even a campfire someday. This class is about connection, community, and discovering that learning music as an adult can be fun, achievable, and deeply rewarding.

No music reading required. Just bring your ukulele, your curiosity, and your love of music.

The capacity for this class is 25 students.
