Particle Power-Up: Mastering the Building Blocks of Japanese
About Particle Power-Up: Mastering the Building Blocks of Japanese
Are you new to Japanese and find particles to be completely overwhelming? Are you an intermediate learner who still gets tripped up when it is time to use them? Do you simply want a refresher on this confusing element of Japanese grammar? If you answered yes to any of the above, then this class is for you!
Particles are a crucial component of Japanese grammar and it is important to feel comfortable navigating them, as they are the primary method for determining how words function in sentences. But for many Japanese language students, particles are a persistent hurdle in their mastery of the language, often impeding self-confidence and fluency.
In this four-part class, we will break down the basic Japanese particles (は、が、を、に、で、へ) and learn how they function through practical examples. Coursework will involve identifying correct and incorrect usages of particles, populating sentences with appropriate particles, and answering a short prompt. By the end of the class, you will further your understanding of particles and build confidence in your comprehension skills.
Part 1

Part 2
