Great Fiber Arts Classes with Expert Teachers Online

Margery has a Master's Degree in Education and taught high school special education for over 30 years. In the early 1990's she took several classes in weaving. One weaving class, one yard of fabric and she was hooked. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsman and is a Master Artisan in Handweaving.

Jimmy Parker, Animal Nutritionist, does rations formulation for the farmers co-op line and several independent feed companies for all species. He also does farm consulting 3 days a week in a territory that covers all of Alabama, half of Tennessee, West Georgia, East Mississippi and the Florida Panhandle.

Kathy raises heritage Karakul sheep for their long coarse rug fiber. Yarn is spun and she hand dyes the colors. She became certified in 2014 to teach Oxford Punch Needle. Teaching is her passion and introducing students to discover endless creative rug hooking and punch opportunities.

Emily Wohlscheid is the fiber and metal artist behind Bricolage Studios. She works from a cooperative studio in Kalamazoo, MI and specializes in highly textural fiber batts and jewelry incorporating fibers and fiber themes. Through classes and workshops, Emily shares her knowledge of spinning, fiber preparation, and dyeing throughout the country.

Melanie Bailey Cox is a spinner and weaver with a passion for textile arts. Melanie is a member of the Burlington Handweavers and Spinning Guild and through the guild she became exposed to and involved with handweaving and hand spinning. With her engineering background she has always had a love for processes and enjoys understanding how to make things.

Beth has been knitting for over 20 years and is a Level 2 Certified Knitting Instructor. She teaches classes through the Apex recreation department where she loves helping new knitters get started and feel confident with the basics.

Driven by curiosity and colour, Kim is a dedicated fibre artist and educator who brings a rich blend of science, skill, and creativity to her teaching. Her approach is to first help students examine and understand their unique “signature” spinning style.

Emily Chamelin comes to farming after two decades as a commercial sheep shearer. Her shearing experience took her around the USA and the world as she competed in multiple American shearing contests and three world sheep shearing championship competitions.

Beth Collier has been spinning and felting for over 20 years. Beth does a variety of fiber arts including felting, spinning and bobbin lace. Her business, The Little Shop of Fibers sells Kromski Products, felting supplies, bobbin lace supplies and Shetland wool and yarn. When not spinning or felting she enjoys gardening and her grandchildren.
