I’m an adult student that returned to serious study of the horn after many years and simply could not find a local teacher that either specialized in horn, or was interested in teaching adult students. I finally discovered LessonFace and reached out to Sara. I have already learned so much from her and she’s an amazing teacher. She takes me seriously as a student and my return to the study of music/horn has brought me immense joy (and in no small part,) because of the confidence Sara instills in me, the techniques and skills she teaches, plus the encouragement to follow my passion no matter my age. She’s a true master teacher!

RHYTHM, King of the Omniverse: how to use it, speak it, arrange it and produce it

Nathan has been taking lessons with Paul since the beginning of November (7 months). Not only is Paul an AMAZING, supportive, and kind instructor, but he also helped Nathan improve his playing every week. He offered choice and direction to Nathan regarding his lessons and always came prepared with materials to practice and supplement the skill being worked on. I watched Nathan become a more solid, confident trumpet player throughout his months working with Paul. We will definitely be looking him up again in the Fall. If you are on the fence, please sign up for a lesson - you won't be disappointed!
Life is a little weird when you get Old, but Dexter is a wonderful teacher and I hate it when our lessons end, He has taught me a be persistent and methodical, I have started to enjoy doing "homework" today I asked for it. I feel successful at the level I am at. I've had a head injury so I don't know if I even have a learning style now, but this Dexter Ashley seems to understand it. If thinking of picking up the trumpet, he's the guy you need!
Excellent teacher. Friendly, professional, knowledgeable and very good trombone player.
Janita has been an amazing teacher for my daughter this summer. My daughter is going to start this year in band so much more prepared.
My son enjoyed his lesson with Zach while preparing for an audition. We were able let Zach know what selections were being used for the audition before the lesson. He reviewed them and was ready to dive into breaking down the music to provide valuable guidance throughout the lesson. Will definitely book again!

What is Lessonface?
How do online Brass lessons work?
What is the best method for learning Brass ?
We're biased, of course, but at Lessonface we believe the best way to learn Brass is through one-on-one lessons. Personalized instruction means your teacher can tailor every lesson to your goals, learning style, and skill level. Online group classes can also be a great way to make learning fun and social. Learning Brass online makes it easy to stay consistent, which is essential to steady progress.
There are plenty of apps and YouTube videos out there to help with learning Brass, but most teachers agree that those resources work best as supplements to, not replacements for, one-on-one instruction. A skilled Brass teacher can identify bad habits before they become ingrained, help you focus on what matters most, and solve problems as soon as they arise, often saving you months of frustration and wasted practice time. The bottom line? A real teacher accelerates your progress and keeps you on the right path from day one.
