Brian McDonie is an active trombonist and educator. From 2020 to 2023, he was a member of the 566th Air Force Band of the Midwest performing in concerts, parades, ceremonies, and educational outreach programs across the Midwest. Brian also served as a U.S. Marine Musician in Okinawa, Japan and Havelock, North Carolina from 2016 to 2020.

Fall/School Schedule Begins August 9! I am a veteran teacher of 19 years in public school. I teach all ages and ability levels! I specialize in clarinet, bass clarinet flute, and saxophone. I also have extensive experience teaching trumpet, trombone, and baritone.

I am an Assistant Professor at Mount Allison University after receiving my doctorate from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. In addition to my university teaching experience I have been teaching online lessons for all levels since 2015.

I'm a trombonist by trade who has been playing for almost 20 years. Since graduating with a bachelor's degree in trombone performance from the University of Georgia, I've performed in numerous settings in several countries, including orchestras, jazz bands, and chamber ensembles. I'm also a studio/session musician, recording both remotely and in person.

Learning trumpet should feel good — not stressful, not confusing, and definitely not a fight to get your child to practice. After a few lessons, many parents notice the same thing: their kids start feeling confident, excited, and proud of what they’re playing. Kyle Olsen is a horn player currently based in Ypsilanti, Michigan who splits his time between teaching and working as a freelance musician across the state playing with orchestras, chamber groups, and as a soloist in various settings.
