I've been playing the violin/fiddle for 35 years, originally studying violin performance at Marywood University before beginning the gradual switch from classical violin to fiddle. Most recently, I've played professionally in a three times Grammy-nominated band from Taiwan: The Muddy Basin Ramblers.

I’m an internationally touring fiddler, composer, and teacher. I play styles ranging from Swing to Folk to Gypsy Jazz to Celtic and lots of other World musics. I'm a working musician, and have spent several years constantly on tour since graduating from the Berklee College of Music.

Traditional Irish fiddle player Finóla Lawlor hails from Dublin in Ireland and has been playing traditional Irish Music since the age of six. Finóla has toured globally with Irish dance troupes and plays regularly around Ireland in traditional Irish groups.

Tara Shupe was raised playing traditional American Fiddle Music and Bluegrass. She began playing festival stages at 6 years old and toured the US and Europe playing mandolin and singing with the award winning youth bluegrass band String Fever starting in her teens, taking the stages of Telluride, Rockygrass, La Roche Festival in France, GreyFox, IBMA, and more.

I love helping others learn. In my private studio setting, I have taught music to children K-12 and adults for three decades, everyone ages 4 to 84, literally. I have performed with countless classical ensembles over a 50-year time frame. For the last 40 I have played with jazz, contemporary, and folk ensembles as well.
