About Draw a Realistic Face at Any Skill Level!
No drawing experience needed — this class is made for complete beginners! If you've ever watched someone draw and wished you could do the same, here's your chance to prove to yourself that you can. Most of the people in the thumbnail image for this class said that they had no drawing experience before we started.
In this step-by-step class, you'll learn to draw a realistic face using a proportions chart that shows you exactly where to place each facial feature — no guesswork, no artistic intuition required. Along the way, you'll also pick up a handful of practical techniques that translate to drawing just about anything else.
As we work, I'll give each student individual feedback — what's looking great and what might need a small tweak — so you don’t have to just guess on your own.
If you're worried everyone else will be better than you, don't be. They're all probably thinking the same thing. This isn't a competition; it's about having fun and walking away with a skill you didn't think you had.
In my experience with teaching how to draw people, students consistently get results that far exceed what they thought they were capable of drawing.
Class Materials
Students will want to provide:
• A paper drawing pad
• A sharp pencil
• A good eraser. Kneaded erasers are great but others will work also
• Some scrap paper
• If you have a T-square or ruler, they may be useful but are not required
