About Nail Your Musical Theatre Audition: Songs, Acting & Confidence (Teens)
In this interactive class, teen performers will learn how to confidently prepare for a musical theatre audition from start to finish.
We will cover how to choose the right audition song, understand what directors are looking for, and make strong acting choices that help you stand out. Students will also get the chance to actively participate through guided exercises, discussion, and optional live coaching.
This is not just a lecture. Students will practice real audition skills in a supportive, low-pressure environment and leave with clear next steps they can use right away.
By the end of class, students will:
• Understand what to expect in a musical theatre audition
• Know how to choose an appropriate audition song
• Gain tools for acting and expression during auditions
• Build confidence performing in front of others
Perfect for teens who are new to auditions or looking to improve their skills for upcoming school or community theatre productions.
Students should come prepared with:
• Optional: a song they are considering for an audition
• Optional: willingness to participate in short acting or singing exercises
